The LCI (load commutated inverter) converter SINAMICS GL150 is suitable for synchronous motor applications with variable or constant torque characteristics in power ratings up to 85 MW. The converter is available in air- and water-cooled versions and is suitable for 1Q to 4Q applications. It is used as a starting frequency converter as well as a frequency converter for continuous operation.
